The Restless Poet

Crimson spreading creating ripples of red,
the reflection unaware of what lies ahead.
As the water thickens and the shadows rise,
it quiets the echoes of the chaos inside.

Ruby red and murky blue,
blending together for a purplish hue.
With each beat the essence of all that is,
flows from my flesh and fades into the past.

While cleansing all wounds opened within,
darkness arrives where despair resides.
An ephemeral moment to free the mind,
becomes eternal in the depths of time.
